Lele Sadoughi: modern treasures

New York based label Lele Sadoughi creates costume jewelry and bejeweled home décor items inspired by art, culture and traveling. Designer Lisa 'Lele' Sadoughi decided to launch her own label after a rewarding work experience as Jewelry Design Director at J.Crew and Tory Burch.

A passionate globetrotter, the designer searches vintage markets all over the world for unique pieces. Every collection she envisions creates a distinct world based on the art and the architecture of a specific era. For spring 2013 it was the revival of ancient Egyptian culture in the Art Deco movement of 1920s as the main source of inspiration.

The extravagant earrings, bracelets, rings and necklaces and also home accessories like name card holders reinterpret ancient Egyptian columns, royal bejeweled headdresses and cultural symbols such as the lotus flower, the scarab and the falcon into modern, bold geometric shapes.
