The Honourable Daphne Guinness

Blue-blooded socialite, style-icon and haute-couture maniacal collector Daphne Guinness plays the main part in the "Future Couture" fashion editorial featured in Italian Vogue.

The pictures, that emanate a strong ‘80s Sci-Fi movie' atmosphere, are done by American photographer Steven Klein, and are styled by the heiress herself (she's also a well known fashion journalist and stylist), hence the "armour" look, which she finds great interest in.

Gothic trend in Flair

This season's goth trend inspired French photographer Jean-François Campos to do the "Gotico" photo editorial featured in Italian Flair Magazine. The surreal atmosphere is given by an unusual encounter between fashion, embodied by Lithuanian model Giedre Dukauskaite and dance (NUBA theatre ballerini). A mix between new and old (archaic and futuristic) and a clear touch of artistic sensibility, typical for the former photojournalist are revealed through this poetic choreography.

Age of Adolescence

Here's Canadian newcomer Magalie Daignault modeling for the Chic Today magazine in a photo editorial called "The Age of Adolescence". Gosh, teens  these days are so stylish! This fashion piece describes perfectly today's young style: a playful, nonchalant, eclectic mix of designer items (Prada, Karl Lagerfeld, Calvin Klein, and Michael Kors), chain-store clothes (H&M, America Apparel) and edgy garments from exclusive new labels (Filippa K., Designers Remix, Bruns Bazaar, DDP Deep Denim).

Moussy fall 2008/winter 2009 ad campaign

Top model Agyness Deyn dons her best punk pose for Moussy ad campaign. The fall 2008/winter 2009 collection of this Tokyo based label is much influenced by 80's style icon and punk-rock/new-wave darling Deborah Ann Harry.
The campaign focuses on the era's distinctive street styling: the biker leather jacket, the blazer, the long cardigan worn with colorful tights, the acid-wash jean, the bootie and the zebra print.

China Fashion Syndrome

Back in October 2007, when Karl Lagerfeld and Silvia Venturini Fendi lit up the Great Wall of China with a glamorous fashion show, the two also did a photo editorial for Elle magazine called "China Syndrome".

Shot near the Olympic Village of Beijing, the photos showcased some of the designs created by Karl Lagerfeld for Fendi. The construction scenery is meant to evoke the rising Chinese fashion industry.

The Duchess by Karl Lagerfeld

Karl Lagerfeld steps again behind the camera for the October 2008 issue of UK Harper's Bazaar and shows us how a Duchess should look like. Playing the part of eccentric Georgina, the Duchess of Devonshire is her descendant, mysterious icon Stella Tennant. Fellow blue-blood Lady Amanda Harlech does the styling and dresses the Scottish supermodel in haute couture gowns signed Chanel, Dior or Armani Prive.

Donna Karan fall 2008 - winter 2009 ad campaign

Top model and style icon Kate Moss is captured by brilliant photography duo Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott for the latest Donna Karan ad campaign. In fact the British diva is the image of Donna Karan since spring 2008, as she epitomizes old school glamour, and is a perfect example of a woman who wears the clothes rather than being overshadowed by them.

Alberta Ferretti fall 2008 - winter 2009 ad campaign

When you think of Alberta Ferretti fall 2008 collection wonderful shades of violet come first to mind. And here they are, jewel tones of purple stand along emerald green, sapphire blue and gold in beautiful shots captured by the magical lens of photographer Steven Meisel for Alberta Ferretti fall/winter 2008/09 ad campaign.
Models Anna J, Magdalena, Siri & Viktoriya turn home after a long night of partying, and stretch their long legs in an old metro train. Love the contrast between the gorgeous clothes and the scenery.

Blumarine fall 2008 - winter 2009 ad campaign

These luminous shots featuring lovely Natasha Poly were done by photographer Craig McDean for the new Blumarine ad campaign. This Italian label is known for sweet and romantic with a lot of sparkle, but, for the fall 2008 season, designer Anna Molinari turned towards a sexier, almost vampy look. There's still sweetness going on: a lot of frills, ruffles and nude-shades, but there's also a body-con leopard-print dress and Natasha's fierce gaze.
